20 Weeks

How Far Along:
20 Weeks Along (12/13/2013)
Cravings:
Holiday sweets are getting the best of me right now! I am loving anything and everything mint!
How Am I Feeling:
Overwhelmed and Excited! I feel like I have a lot to get done and this month is just flying by! I will say I feel ahead on my holiday shopping though! Amazon.com is the Bomb!
Sleep:
Back to normal! We got a new mattress since our last pregnancy and it makes a WORLD of difference! We went from a full to a king and a extra firm to a Temperpedic! No body pillow needed yet!
Miss Anything:
Buying regular clothes. There are SOOO many cute winter sweaters and skinny pants right now! I just wish they made it all in maternity too!
Movement:
I definitely am feeling something now! Nick doesn't feel the baby yet, but I am guessing it will be any time soon!
Most Exciting Moment This Week:
This week was full of excitement! Baby Tobin was born on Thursday, December 12th! He is so perfect, small and sweet! We cannot wait to spend more time with him this weekend!
Extra Most Exciting Moment This Week:
We also got to see the baby this week in our 20 week ultrasound! It was VERY VERY active and busy! We actually had to have another tech come in to try to get the images. She told us even if we wanted to find out what we were having, we wouldn't have been able to because it was so busy! We didn't get any 4D images this time though. I was kinda bummed, but it's okay at the same time. The last ones kinda freaked me out a bit.
Looking Forward To:
Spending time with family! I am excited to FINALLY announce that Nick's sister Rachel is here from Washington! We had to keep it a secret to surprise Jennifer, but now that she's here we are so very excited!
We also have Nick's stepdad Scott and Gracie coming up tonight for Christmas this weekend!
Then we have Christmas in SD on the 24th & 25th and finally Nick's dad is flying in from WA on the 25th-1st! Busy times, but love seeing all the family!

Sorry for the Lack of Bump Photos! Pregnancy brain took over, but at least you can look at Baby R!!

52:20 Your First Thanksgiving

I Want to Remember
Your First Thanksgiving
I want to remember your first Thanksgiving. We had so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. Just last Thanks giving I told our family members that you were in my in tummy and this Thanksgiving I gave you your first meal. It was so fitting for the holidays because I gave you sweet potatoes. You didn’t know what to think at first, but before long you were opening your mouth for more. I hope I can keep making you food, so you eat healthier than your mommy!

Making Baby Food
Whew…this is quite the chore! Just looking into what to feed baby first is quite the decision, and making the food from scratch is a whole other ball game! I have two books, few websites, and some friends that I looked into and everyone’s beliefs are so different about what is best, what should be first and how much, how often. So I am just doing what I think is best for Anniston and going with that.
So as of now I am still mainly going to be breastfeeding, but starting off, once a day, I will feed her food – during our breakfast. And so far I am making and freezing her food. So far I've made sweet potatoes, broccoli, carrots, rice cereal and quinoa.  I am completely going to wing this and see how it goes! Any advice? I’ll gladly take it!

We are having a....

How far Along: 5 Months! Halfway and Feeling Good! (2/13/2012)
Maternity Clothes: I am starting to fall in love! These clothes are the most comfortable things EVER! Since it is acceptable for guys to wear baggy jeans all the time, I think it should be acceptable for women to wear elastic pants all the time! I am still wearing a lot of my favorite jeans and pants, but just adding that belly band and Voila! I am in comfort land!
Stretch Marks: No and I will continue to cake on my Belly Butter so this doesn't happen!
Sleep: Well, I am fairly certain I will never sleep normal again. Poor Nickolas is such a light sleeper and every time I wake up to readjust, go to the bathroom, or complain, he wakes up right along with me. Lucky guy!
Best Moment This Week: We got to see Baby R last week (February 6th)! It was amazing and I was far too emotional! I just had no idea that that little baby was moving soooo much inside of me! The poor lady had a tough time getting pictures because baby was moving so much! It was incredible! This was the appointment where we could have found out what Baby R was. And....we decided to keep it a SECRET! Come on everyone, you know it will be much more fun that way!
Missing Anything: Well, not right now, since I can still have chocolate so I am not missing out on much this Valentine's Day! I got my hubby, my chocolate, and my body lotion! What more could a girl ask for!?
Looking Forward to: This weekend! My family and friends are coming up for my birthday! It will be great seeing everyone and being able to spend time with them for a whole weekend!
Pictures: The picture were the best ones I could get from our ultrasound! But my favorite is the one where Baby is sucking it's thumb! I will admit I was a huge thumb sucker when I was younger so it was amazing to see it already it taking on my characteristics! Lucky baby! :)
